Application Formats

We can accept files for Computer-to-Plate production from any of the following Macintosh or PC applications:

  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Freehand
  • QuarkXpress
  • Corel Draw
  • Microsoft Publisher
  • Microsof Word

This list is not exhaustive so please contact us if you want to check if we can accept some other format not listed here.

Fonts

Don't forget to supply them! Preferably convert your text to outlines / paths or embed the fonts in your document. Fonts on your artwork should be Postscript only please.

Logos / Graphics / Photography

All graphics should be supplied as a tiff, eps, bmp, jpg or as one of the above application file formats at a resolution of 300ppi at 100% (1200ppi for posters). Don't forget to convert your colour space to CMYK and your text to outlines / paths or embed your fonts. All line-art files should be supplied at a resolution of 1200ppi at 100%.

Pantone / Special Colours & Blend Effects

RGB or any other colour space should be converted to CMYK with process separation checked before submitting for output. Duo tones must be converted to process colours for output.

Vignettes and blends have a tendency to band in all electronic output devices. Best results are achieved with a tone value change of not less than 50%.

Media

When you make an online purchase here on the Penny Print website, you will be given the opportunity to upload your files. If you prefer, you may supply your files on a CD or DVD and post them to this address.
